Solar Supply and Installation

Full solar systems, supplied and installed, for homes, farms and business

Botswana has abundant sunshine and rising electricity costs, which makes solar one of the most practical long-term energy decisions a household, business or farm can make. Naba Energy supplies and installs complete solar systems, from backup power for a home to off-grid supply for a remote cattle post, handling design, supply and installation as a single service.

What we supply

We supply and install complete solar systems: panels, inverters, batteries and mounting hardware, sized and configured for the customer’s specific power needs. This covers backup power systems that keep a home or business running through grid outages, load reduction systems designed to cut ongoing electricity costs, and fully off-grid systems for locations with no grid connection at all.

For agricultural customers, we also supply solar water pumping systems, which allow boreholes and water points to run without dependence on diesel generators or a grid connection, particularly valuable for remote farms and cattle posts.

Who we serve

Households across Botswana are increasingly turning to solar for backup power during outages and for reducing long-term electricity costs, and we design residential systems to match a home’s actual usage. Businesses use solar both to reduce operating costs and to protect against the disruption of power interruptions.

Farms and cattle posts, often located far from the grid, benefit from off-grid solar systems and solar water pumping that keep operations running independently. Lodges and remote hospitality sites use solar to maintain reliable power for guests without depending on generator fuel deliveries, and institutions look to solar as a way to manage rising energy costs over the long term.

How our process works

Every solar installation starts with an assessment of the site and the customer’s power needs, covering current and expected electricity usage, roof or ground space, and whether the system needs to provide backup power, full off-grid supply, or simply reduce grid consumption.

From there, we design a system sized to that assessment, covering panel capacity, inverter specification and battery storage where required. Once the design is agreed, we supply the components and carry out the installation, followed by a handover where the customer is shown how the system operates and what to expect from it day to day.

Why it matters in Botswana

Botswana receives some of the highest levels of sunshine in the region, which makes solar an unusually efficient energy investment compared to many other markets. At the same time, electricity costs continue to rise, and grid reliability is not guaranteed in every area, particularly in more remote parts of the country.

For homes, businesses and farms alike, solar offers a way to reduce dependence on an unpredictable grid, cut long-term energy costs and, for remote sites, gain power access that would otherwise be difficult or expensive to achieve.

Frequently asked questions

Do you handle both the supply and the installation of solar systems?+

Yes, we manage the full process from site assessment and system design through to supply and installation, followed by handover.

Can you install an off-grid system for a remote farm or cattle post?+

Yes, we design and install off-grid solar systems, including solar water pumping, for farms and cattle posts with no grid connection.

How do you decide what size system I need?+

We start with a site assessment covering your current and expected electricity usage, available space, and whether you need backup power, off-grid supply or cost reduction, then design a system sized accordingly.

Can solar reduce our business electricity costs?+

A correctly sized solar system can reduce reliance on grid electricity and lower ongoing energy costs. Contact us for an assessment specific to your business.
